Please practice your scales and review what you learned last week on 10/1. Next week, there will be a 20 question test on what we have learned so far. I will read the questions, and you will answer them. Please bring a pencil and a piece of binder paper. Thanks! 9/24 Homework: 1. Draw your music bar and draw the Bass Clef. Put in the notes. What does it symbolize? 2. Define. pp ff piano Forte MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PRONOUNCE! 3. What clef is the treble clef? P.S. It's a letter! 4. What clef is the bass clef? P.S. It's a letter! 5. Draw the signs for crescendo and decrescendo. Write the "abbreviation" for it. 6. Practice Ein Klein Nachtmusik. Draw your 5 lines and write the notes from "low" E to "high" F. Make sure you draw it on the 5 lines, and be sure you also draw a treble clef on your five lines! 2. Answer this question: What does FACE stand for? 3. Answer this question: What does EGBDF stand for? 4. Besides #1, remember to label L2, S3, L4, S1, L1, S4, L3, S2, and L5. 5. Make sure you know what the "letters" are for the notes. Study carefully! There might be a test! (Eg: How many letters are there in music?) 6. Extra Credit: Besides #1, if you can draw beyond the treble clef. Feel free to do so. The higher or lower you can do, the more extra credit you can earn. Maximum is 10 points.
